Info & Pricing

Congratulations! You’ve decided to consider a historic barn as the site for your special celebration. Our barn certainly offers a unique and unforgettable venue. You found us because you are looking for someplace special.

We are frequently asked “So, other than the location, how is a barn wedding different from weddings at a more traditional venue?”. Unless you are working with a wedding planner the difference is three additional phone calls.

Catering

Your first call will be to select a caterer. Unlike your experience with a traditional wedding venue, renting our barn gives you the opportunity to select from a wide variety of food providers. As you probably know the Traverse City area is recognized as a “foodie destination”. Many of our restaurants and caterers offer unmatched quality and selection. We have the added advantage of a vibrant, local agricultural community providing local foods to discriminating vendors.

Please consult our catering page for our list of preferred caterers and their contact information.

Tables & Chairs

The second call you need to make is for the rental of tables and chairs. Again, the Traverse City area has a number of businesses that specialize in providing these services. You have a great selection of vendors and products. They will set up according to your individual plan and take down after the event.

Please consult our Tents, Tables & Chairs page for our list of preferred vendors and their contact information.

Facilities

The third call you will have to make is for portable toilet facilities. Barns don’t have bathrooms. Modern portable toilet facilities can be as fancy as any you would find in a fine hotel. Trailer facilities come with flushing china toilets, hot and cold running water, music, air conditioning and hardwood cabinetry and floors. Even the most basic facilities have lighting and running water.

Please consult our Facilities page for our list of preferred vendors and their contact information.

So, with a few phone calls you can have exactly what you want ….your way ! We can promise you that for a little extra effort you will be rewarded with a unique , amazing wedding that you will remember and your guests will talk about for years to come .

Please see below for information regarding pricing and services offered .

Our rental agreement provides names of trained, insured bartenders and our preferred caterers provide bartenders.

Are there limitations as to who can be married at your farm ?

Of course not.

What are your unique features?

Our pastoral setting is unique in the region . We are the only Barn venue that offers Big Ass Ceiling Fans (Sorry that is the name of the company) . Our board and batten construction keeps the wind and rain out. Our beautiful dance floor quality flooring is unique in the area…. no splinters ! Our log cabin is beautiful and unique . Our proximity to the Grand Traverse Resort , The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival [GLEF ] and a variety of accommodation choices make our location a convenient one for out of town guests.

Do you offer packages ?

We do not offer packages . Here’s why. We look at our venue as a canvas . Our goal is to allow each couple the choices necessary to accomplish their goals. We offer a beautiful property that couples can use as a backdrop for the wedding of their dreams . We have found that each couple is unique in terms of budget and taste. In the end , every wedding is amazing in its own unique way.

We have found that there is no one size fits all “package”. We would rather assist you in creating your own unique “package” of vendors . If you aren’t working with a planner we are happy to share our experience with more than 100 special weddings and 100’s of vendors.

Planning your wedding should be fun and it will be . It’s not that complicated .
